# Rhys Darby, only 2 degrees of separation you know

Today’s interconnected world has torn down the barriers and now you can be 2 degrees of separation from the Queen (supposedly) and through social networks this certainly true, follow [@rhysiedarby](http://twitter.com/rhysiedarby?ref=vaughan.ai) for example. Rhys even [plugged my charity bike ride](http://nzuphill.8degrees.co.nz/2009/05/05/rhys-darby-vaughans-big-ride/?ref=vaughan.ai) (but then we were mates so that’s like 1 degree of separation).

So we have a new mobile network launching, and who would you rather watch on the ads, [Richard Hammond](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1GyfLu%5FHhI&ref=vaughan.ai), or our very own Rhys? I know who is funnier.

Now, all 2degrees needs to do now is secure the domain name [2degrees.co.nz](http://www.2degrees.co.nz/?ref=vaughan.ai) and their launch would go much more swimmingly. I do enjoy a drop of pinot now and then so no rush there guys ;)
