Bangkok and beyond
It has come to my attention that I forgot several people in my last email and I have found some more scraps of paper with email addresses on and so my list is forever growing. However if you do not receive this email then please let me know and I will add you to my list (figure that one out).

Also my spelling isn’t that bad it’s just these Asian keyboards dating from the early 70's.
Well what more can I say about Bangkok except I am real glad to have left. It was very interesting and exciting but after four days Mel and I decided it was time for some quiet. We did the zoo, the markets, the parks but Bangkok is not the real Thailand. We caught the midday train to Hua Hin, 3rd class. We arrived at the station and like the typical tourists we are we tried to buy a ticket 1 hour before the train left. Well, we got a couple of third class standee tickets. Standee as in STAND. Well we hijacked a couple of seats and strangely no one kicked us out of them. We made sure we stood every time the conductor came past though. Trains are so exciting. No sharp corners or potholes for starters and then there is the amazing scenery crawling past the windows.
We arrived in Hua Hin after 4 or so hours on the train and checked in to a nice little guesthouse by the water. We can listen to the waves at night. Hua hin is soooo different. Quiet and friendly. Lots of tourists, mainly middle aged couples. We fit right in. Mel and I had a massage on the beach today and I got my nails done. Luxury! However the price to pay is sunburn.
I must go again as I seem to be a slow typist now I no longer work with computers and my hour is up. I will have a beer on the beach for you all tonight… hmmm looks like I will be getting plastered! Having the most fun ever. Sawat dii!
