Leaving NZ

Well this is Cape Reinga. You cant go much further north than this without getting wet. This was my last place to visit in New Zealand before I left. The last place I haven’t been to so I felt I had to see the tip as I have seen the rest. And boy am I glad I did. On a good day you can see where the Tasman and the Pacific oceans meet. The waves just cant make up thier mind which way they are going. Awesome! The lighthouse, the icon of the north north, although doesn{q}t put on much of a show by day it is strange to think its been there for over 100 years warning ships about the tip of New Zealand. Imagine coming home on a ship and seeing its light. What a welcoming feeling.
Before we left we were buzzed by the RNZAF flying low over the Cape. I felt it was a nice send off seeing as Both Mel and I were leaving both the Cape and NZ.

Oh, if you are driving up to the cape be wary of fast moving 4 wheel drive buses coming the other way. They seem to be in a hurry but are not in too much of a hurry to drive on thier side of the road.
